WinCPD® Windows-based Computerized Process Design
The WinCPD® (Windows-based Computerized Process Design) system is the only design tool of its kind capable of modeling complete water treatment systems. Using this proprietary computer simulation program from Siemens Water Technologies, one can generate a Process Optimization Modeling Report that will detail the optimum parameters for your specific system.
WinCPD can analyze a multitude of variables within a water treatment system and then model the most effective operating parameters for each system. As part of the report, Siemens can suggest additional equipment that will lower your costs, while improving overall operations, flow rates, quantity and quality of water.
Some of the variables that are analyzed include:
- Influent conditions including ionic load, water temperature and organic contaminant levels.
- Flow rates and bed depths
- Regenerant dosages and how they can be altered to make the regererants more effective, while consuming less volume
The types and size of pretreatment and primary systems already in place and how they can be optimized by using different types of resins or membranes, operating co-current versus countercurrent, adding pretreatment equipment to produce a better quality product.
WinCPD allows a process engineer to:
- Create a variety of models
- Mold such models to site specific needs
- Determine the most cost effective design
- Determine the most efficient, environmentally-friendly design
- Benefit from utilizing a:
- Graphics based design program using drag & drop techniques
- Program written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
